I've lost track of how long we've had the "stay at home" orders. It seems as though it's been months, when in actuality it's only been a few weeks. I can feel the energy building up in people, itching to go out and socialize. Not to mention its spring! We've been cooped up for six cold and dreary months and just like a bear emerging from its den after a long winter's sleep, we need to get out and feel the warms of the sun on our tender skin. That is why i am so excited for the summertime farmers market season! Come to find out, farmers markets are considered "essential business". What this means for me and Rock & Co. Creations is we get the opportunity to meet new friends, get reacquainted with old friends and enjoy the outdoors with other human beings, keeping within the social distancing guidelines we are becoming accustomed to. I signed up for about 5 or 6 events for the summer of 2020 and as of today only 2 are still on the calendar. of those 2, one is not a for sure event. Which brings me to the point of thi

s blog title. My one for sure event is being held at the Redmond Saturday Market hosted by General Duffy's Waterhole in Redmond, Oregon. While i would LOVE to be at ever Saturday event, it's just not possible, so instead I am going to attend one a month. The first one will be on May 16 and I am so excited! There is still a week and a half before the event yet here i am, in my studio, making lists and going through my vendor equipment. Organizing my totes and organizing my photos for a looping slideshow. I'm wanting my booth to be more interactive and stimulating this year. I've been gathering items to make my tables pop, all winter and I have a lovely client turned friend who gifted me some fantastic tools and equipment. In my head it's all been mapped out. I know exactly how it's going to look and the anticipation is killing me. I wish today was friday the 15th, but I'll get back to you with part 2: the climax
